Always eager to help students learn, we decided to leverage the power of computer games to reinforce information learned in the typical art history world survey course. This first module of an expandable game sets up an immersive narrative where players test their art historical knowledge as 'curators' trying to save the world. This initial unit is set in Ancient Greece, where various tasks reinforce traditional art historical learning. From building columns, to repairing pediments, to sending things to their 'correct' times, in The Curator: Time Unhenged players are able to learn in kinesthetic ways that augment the typical university or AP art history survey.
Future modules will broaden and deepen the coverage.
